These are my confessions, part II

Sometimes the brain and the body can’t agree on what life’s really about

Sometimes the love of a friend comes wrapped in a dangerous package

A shiny one, that makes you feel powerful when your gentle tug slices it wide

Or a bright one, that dazzles more than just your sense of taste

Eyes betray you, looking long and deep

Nose doesn’t help, taking what is cheap and making it rich, full, satisfying

Breathing in how good it would feel

To just give in for a second

Just once

But it’s never just once

There’s always another second
